I am a particle physicist with a passion for coding who specializes in analyzing data from particle detectors and developing sophisticated tools for physical data analysis. My research interests span deep learning applications in High Energy Physics (HEP), particle physics, data science, and software development. Currently, I am conducting research on diHiggs event production at the ATLAS experiment, focusing on decay channels involving two b-jets and two tau leptons.
Jet constituents provide a more complete description of the radiation pattern inside a jet than observables describing the global jet properties like the number of tracks or the jet width. An approach to tag quark- and gluon-initiated jets using their constituents (Particle Flow Objects) reconstructed in ATLAS is presented. Monte Carlo simulations of proton–proton collisions at center of mass energy of 13 TeV are used. Transformer architectures are used to learn long-range dependencies between jet constituent kinematic variables. Several variations of transformers are studied, and their performance is compared to taggers based on global jet properties and other jet constituent taggers. A new Deep Learning architecture (DeParT) is presented, slightly outperforming other networks. All models are evaluated on simulated data from multiple Monte Carlo generators to study their model-dependence.

Estimation of fake tau background using Fake Factor Method.
Framework for the development of deep neural networks for jet identification. Jet identification is the task of classifying jets as originating from either quarks or gluons.
Framework for the calibration of quark-gluon taggers using data from the ATLAS experiment. The calibration is done using the matrix method and the novel jet topics method. The repository is only accessible for ATLAS members.
